Accommodation Kit

I don't truly know what to expect whilst I am away from Base Camp Europe. I know that my budget is smaller than expected, yet I still want to spend 30 days at a time on-the-road. I can live lean-and-mean in terms of essentials such as food, entertainment and coffee (ok...maybe not the coffee!!), but accommodation is not so straight forward.

Having clean, dry, private and functional spaces every so often is going to be of paramount importance. I'll need to eat health fresh food once in a while and perform tasks such as clothes washing, charging devices & batteries fully etc, not to mention recharging myself.

I've figured out that, at a pinch, I can spend the odd night actually sleeping on the motorbike (Boblbee secured to the nose cone with straps over the wing mirrors and the Bike Cover on and over myself and the motorbike...pretty much I can't be seen to be underneath - but it ain't comfy). I don't mind sleeping in parks when it is dry, but probably only during the day (only in Hong Kong do I truly feel safe sleeping on the streets at night). I also intend to rock on up to places of worship (Cathedrals, Churches, Mosques, Synagogues, Temples etc) and testing out how each faith treats a soul in search of sanctuary. Doubtless at some point the 'milk of human kindness' will flow and a randomly made 'single serving friend' shall put me up for the night (I've a great story of meeting my Identical Soul Twin on a train in Switzerland as an example). There are also plenty of friends, friends-of-friends and some family members to tap up for some floor space, if nothing more. But what of the rest of the time?

I plan on staying in paid accommodations such as:

Once in a while I might get lavish and spend a night in a hotel...one with a gym and/or swimming pool or other sporting facilities to take maximum advantage of!

When none of the above are available, or affordable, I have the following kit with me to see me through the night...either at a designated campsite or some space in the wilderness where I won't get eaten by something (or shot)...

ACCOMMODATION KIT:

Left Pannier:-

Total = 3.175kg

[The full compliment of camping kit doesn't weigh much, but it sure is bulky...so I have to make the most of it just to justify the space attributed to carrying it all]
